This a one week training for 500hr Yoga Teachers to update their knowledge, practice and skills. This is also an opportunity for us to connect as advanced Yoga Teachers, to share our experiences, discuss our thoughts around Yoga Teaching and our practice. And have a lot of noisy debate around the all of the topics we will cover.

Daily Practice: Taught by Catherine Wilkinson
3 hours daily. Strength, Flexibility and Skill Conditioning work for Intermediate and Advanced Poses
2 hours daily: Trainees will provide a list of poses that they wish to explore before the course starts. We will then break down the poses and explore ways for each individual to progress towards the pose.
Anatomy & Biomechanics: 10 hours. Taught by Catherine Wilkinson

Strengthening and Progressive Loading in Yoga
Exploration of new concepts in alignment and injury
Philosophy and Modern Yoga: 10 hours. We are very excited to have Firdose Moonda on the course. Firdose has completed her MA in Traditions of Yoga and Mediation at SOAS University in London, alongside the world’s leading researchers into Yoga including Mark Singleton, author of Yoga Body and James Mallison, Roots of Yoga.
Overviews that Firdose will cover include Origins and Development of Yoga, Yoga Transmission from East to West, Women in Yoga, and Modern Yoga – Discussions around Accessibility and Appropriation
Yoga Business and Social Media: 5 hours. Tarryn James, the successful entrepreneur behind Yoga South Africa and Yoga Indonesia will give us tips on how to support our business through Instagram and other social media platforms
